Happy Monday! We have been waiting for so long for this week to come! Everyone is excited to sing our holiday songs for you on Wednesday!
When we arrived in our classroom today, we eagerly looked to see what our silly elf was up to. He was playing in the bows! I wonder if he was helping Santa wrap some presents?
Then we worked on a project to help us let Santa know what we would like for Christmas. Miss McCabe put out some clip art pictures that we could glue and color. There were also some toy catalogs that we could look through and cut out pictures of items that we would like for Christmas. When you come for the holiday program, you will have to stop and see what your child would like for Christmas!
We also played with the toys!
We met our new feely phonic friend, woolly white w, and learned all sorts of words that start with the /w/ sound!
We also enjoyed finding W's in our story today! It was also exciting to find other letters that we have already learned!
Ms. Palmer came in for centers. She had some special Christmas smelly markers that she let us use! We made picture ornament wreaths.
Miss McCabe did some counting activities with some friends using some trees and holiday erasers.
We also visited independent centers. Miss McCabe helped show us how to weave mats. We were excited to realize that "weave" starts with the letter Ww!
Please remember to send in any treats for the holiday program tomorrow! That way I can get them all arranged on nice platters prior to the start of the program. It will also give me an idea of how much extra baking I will need to do tomorrow night to make sure there is enough for everyone! Thanks for your cooperation!
