Happy Monday! We are so excited about our upcoming Valentine's Day party! To get ready, we had to make some decorations so our room will be a little more festive for our party tomorrow. Our arrival activity was to make heart suncatchers. They look beautiful in the windows!
We played with the toys. Everyone was excited to see the pink "water balls" in the sensory table again! We had so much fun playing with them back in November! The Queen of Hearts Valentine Shop was also a big hit!
During circle time, we talked about how much our moms and dads love us. We read a counting story about all the different ways a mom loves her alligator baby. Everyone is getting very good at identifying numbers, even those tricky teen numbers! Way to go 4K, students!
Ms. Palmer came in for centers and made a valentine positional booklet with us!
Some of us worked on identifying numbers and counting. We had to make the correct number of playdough hearts for our mats.
We also visited independent centers. Those at the art center were busy making valentines for those special people in their lives! Ms. Palmer walked away with stacks of valentines in the afternoon! She truly felt loved! :)
We also met our new feely phonic friend, valentine v, today. Then we learned all sorts of words that start with the letter Vv. We also read a story that had lots of words that started with the letter Vv.
We made our own valentine Vv's for our alphabet booklets too!
Today, we also got to hear about Brownie's adventures over the weekend! He went to a birthday party, rode on a horse, and even helped drive an excavator! How exciting!
Have a great evening! :)
