Bear Hunt

Happy Friday!  After completing our arrival activities, we spent some time playing.

Then we read We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen.  This was a fun story to read together.  You can listen to the author performing the story by clicking below!

We also listened to the song.  Then we compared it to the story we read.  The song was a little bit different from the story.  It was similar to the "Spooky Walk" that we learned in October.  Click below to hear it!

In the morning, we also learned "The Cool Bear Hunt" song.  This was completely different from the story because we had to go through a candy store, a peanut butter swamp, and a jello factory!  It was silly!

During centers, we worked on identifying numbers and counting while playing a bear board game.  Our job was to get our bear to the cave so it could hibernate for the winter.

Some of us did bear activities with Ms. Palmer too!

We also did independent center activities.

We also learned how to play a bear rhyming game on the SMART Board.  Each of us got to take a copy of the game home to play with you!  Please take the time to play the game with your child!  It will help reinforce skills that we are working on at school too!

At the end of the day, we went on a letter Bb hunt.  It was a lot of fun!  Please continue to practice and reinforce this letter at home!

Have a fantastic weekend! :)

**Please note that Monday night's blog post may be posted late due to the Family Game Night.  I hope to see you there!  It is sure to be a fun evening!
